此接头是应用在电力传感行业，凭据客户的使用需求，被测传感的物体在一个箱体内，且经常有油和水，在箱体内部与外面的光纤线要经常插拔，这时就需要一个穿墙密封的法兰盘，内部与外部的接头与法兰对接后，要抵达密封效果，以免箱体内的油或水流到外面来或污染到光纤端面，影响正常通信.
